This just in! Sailing vessel Bella Star crosses International Dateline.
In a feat of enormous proportions, the sailing vessel Bella Star has today sailed across the International Dateline and into the future. After having left both the Northern and Western hemispheres in her wake since departing Seattle in 2011, the 33' yacht is underway to Opua, New Zealand where she'll wait out cyclone season.
When asked to comment on this epic milestone, Kyra from the sailing vessel Nyon, who crossed the dateline nearly concurrently, replied, "I thought having a mug of hot chocolate was going to be the highlight of my day, but this is more exciting."
In other news, flying fish leaps from ocean and strikes Aaron in face (no injuries reported), and Nicole dons three layers of pants to combat cold.

ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that you got your HF to Blog system working as it is a lot of fun to hear about your adventures even if there are no photos... and no doubt the diversion of writing it must help pass the time out there!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your next land fall. Stay safe.
Was the flying fish punished in the fry pan?
