Under the Golden Gate Bridge

The blast of fog horns on the iconic Golden Gate Bridge gave us a mighty welcome to San Francisco.  The city by the bay was shrouded in fog for our arrival, but it was still a thrill sailing under the bridge (okay, motor-sailing) and seeing San Francisco, Alcatraz and the Bay unfold before us.

But the return of Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks can only mean one thing… fall is near.  So we’ll only spend a few days enjoying this fantastic city before resuming our chase of the summer sun.

  1. Congrats on completing the first big leg of your journey! You are right about fall being in the air... the temperature here in BC was cut in half last Monday and now they are starting to advertise for Christmas!!

Get some rest (you look tired!) then go find the sun and take some sunny ocean sailing videos and photos for your excellent blog.

  3. SO JEALOUS!!! Congratulations on making it to SF (it doesn't matter how you travelled under the bridge because you DID travel under the bridge!). While you guys will soon be leaving fall in your wake, those of us in "sunny" Seattle will have to get our tans vicariously by reading your blog. Can't wait to hear about your first cervezas!
